hey sharon

i've changed my diet to fruits, vegs and meat... i had a gluten test and it was normal.. i know sometimes this is the case.. the abdominal pain came with the whole T4 in the blood not being utilized and then it attacked my intestines i guess

You might want to try going gluten free and see if that makes a difference. Many of us who are hypo develop gluten intollerance. It can't hurt to try it. Just be sure to read all ingredients as it is in more things than one can imagine! i went 5+ years with terrible abdominal pains that no one could diagnose properly until I tried going gluten free and have not had anymore stomach trouble since.

I also take Betaine HCI towards the end of every meal as per my docs advice, as well as digestive enzimes with all cooked meals and a multidopholous several times a day.

Best wishes,

Sharon

Anyone on HC ever use betain hydrochloride for abdominal issues? My small intestines got messed up from low cortisol and not being able to absorb synthroid. so the hypo nature caused severe pain and i can't seem to make it better except it comes and goes....Just wanted thoughts on HCL betaine as i heard it would help stomach acid and that hypothyroid people can improve with it?
