Panic and low iron

Just read this and it might be part of the problem for me. Although, getting on

t3 (and clearing out the rt3)and cortef significantly reduced the panic that

started with all of the hormone stuff. The t3 did not make panic any worse, but

maybe the low ferritin is keeping it from going away atogether?

Here are my full iron panel numbers on 4/7/10

iron: 73 (40-175mcg/DL)

TIBC: 325 (250-450mcg/DL)

Transferrin saturation: 22 (15-50%)

Ferritin 32 (10-232 ng/mL) It's now 45

Do these show inflammation?

I have increased Leptin (doc told me that can be a sign of inflammation?)

28.9 (4.1-25)and some elevated liver numbers that fluctuate - some tests are

normal then others not. Gastroenterologist ran all sorts of tests - all heps,

etc etc. did ultrasound on liver/gallbladder and everything checked out. So,

if there is inflammation, they can't find the source yet.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Val,

What does inflammation look like on an iron panel? On holtorfs site leptin over

10 was an indication of leptin resistance and inability to lose weight until

hormones were back in order. My doc said " no " it just indicates inflamation.

What is leptin?

Thanks,
