Guest guest
Perhaps having CBG tested would provide useful info. My own CBG was high (61 in a range of 19 to 45). I understood this to mean that a lot of the HC I was taking was being bound up into an unusable form, rather than being properly utilized. I did take more HC to compensate. My own CBG changed over time, though, and it has happened that last month's " correct " HC dose turned into this month's " too-high " HC dose. It is unfortunately an ongoing project to figure my correct HC dose. > > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. I mis interpreted your capitals and was too quick to jump down your throat. I tried 6.25mcg of T3 once per day and experienced light headedness, hypoglycemic episodes and felt worse. So obviously Low cortisol sounds like the problem. > > > > I tried 30mg of HC a few months back and i had no reliance on it.. and the higher i got.. the hotter i felt almost intolerably hot. Overall i felt really bad on 30mg and when i dropped the HC i felt better.. You saw my Urine result and said to try adaptogens but i just feel they probably won't be enough considering my reaction to only 6.25mcg of Cytomel... Do you think i should try a larger dose of HC? Would this overcome the likely problem of high CBG?? > > > > I would gratefuly if you could guide me on this one. > > > > Thankyou > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Thanks, still want to try HC one more time.. i can't get my hands on Medrol from my doctor.. he only prescribes HC or prednisone i think. My next plan of attack is to try a high dose upwards of 40mg HC and see how that goes. The 30 wasn't enough and i know you said many men need over 40 so hopefully this gets the job done. I'm assuming there are many people on here with a cortisol resistance like problem with high CBG.. and they probably take more HC to compensate.. hey if it works then great. Margery, well i take your experience as a positive. The fact that you can lower CBG is promising. I read on some older posts in the NTH Adrenals forum that hypothyroidism can cause CBG and that when you become unhypo the CBG normalises. Hopefully this is true. What i know is that SOME cortisol is getting through i just need more.. so i guess a HIGH dose HC will have to do the trick.. if not Medrol. > > > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. Guest guest
Yes, my high CBG went down. I can't say with scientific certainty why, but it was higher when I was more hypo, lower when I was less hypo. I'm glad you're also reading on the Adrenals group, (this is a subject there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information about anywhere), but there are more posts and info at the Adrenals group about this than there are here on the RT3 group. > > > > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post.
