Guest guest
I would not worry abotu the selenium in the shake but I would just not supplement extra. You can opost his labs here and I wil try to help btu I dontl know abotu all the labs so no promises. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Val- > > Thanks again! You are getting me through this. I have a couple questions after I thought about everything. I followed your advice and did protien shake with iron. It's basically a nutritional supplement drink 250 cal and 9g protein. Is this the type of thing you meant?? It contains 25% of your daily selenium and I almost didn't drink for that reason - somewhere along this process I read not to take selenium. I can't find my notes anywhere and not sure why or if I truly need to avoid. Can you please advise?? > > Unrealated but so important - I just got blood results back for my son. He had strange bruises and they checked for lekemia. Said his blood looks great and no worrys. Phew! But then I got a copy of his CBC w/ diff and there are all 6 things that flagged high or low. I don't want to be stupid anymore and just trust the docs. They are probably right by their non-diagnosi but I'm wondering if his results are red flags for something else. Heres my question, do you know of a place like this where I could post his results?? > > > Thanks - Holly > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
OK basically rthe " philes " and " cytes " are differnt kinds of white blood cells and tell a differnt thing abit the state of the immune system, Low is usually fine adn high can indicate he is finghting an infeciton. His are REALLY not far elevated so I think I agree with your doc that they are nothing to worry about. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Thanks for taking a look at this Val- Here's my little Henry's labs. Guest guest
Thank goodness for Henry! I don't think I can take any thing else right now:) Thanks for putting my mind at ease. Can you please take a quick look at MY most recent labs: SODIUM 141 ( 136-145) POTASSIUM 4.1 (3.5-5.1) Potassium was orig 138. After 2 weeks on 10meq it went up 1 pt to 139. I continued on 10 meq 1 week then increased to 20 meq for 5 days and went up 2 pts to 141. I don't want to go too high - should I go back down to 10 meq? Whats your advice?? I think my sodium is where you want it. Should I continue to do sea salt? Will it continue to rise? And lastly they tested magnesium at urgent care but NOT the rbc so I don't think it of any use but here it is MAGNESIUM 2.2 (1.6-2.6) Thx again!! holly > >>> Val- > >>> > >>> Thanks again! Guest guest
I woudl continue wiht the exact doses you were takign at the time of the testing. It will not conitinue to rise as these electrolytes are adjusted by your body on an hour by hour basis. We just have to give them the raw materials every day to work with. With weak adrenals we tend to lose these vital minerals so a constant influx of them is needed. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Thank goodness for Henry! Guest guest
My two cents, his MCV is below mid range. Is he possibly a little anemic? That would track with fighting an infection.
