Guest guest
Low T3 can actually cause as many sleep issues as low pr high cortiosl. You have just given your adrneals a severe stressor I woudl give your body time to regulate. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.faqhelp.webs.com/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ > All, > All, > I stopped taking T3 about 2 weeks ago because I was not seeing the results even after taking 150mcg a day. Started from ground zero again with taking out all T3 and just taking HC to make sure my adrenals are stable again. Taking 30mg per day, 10mg, three times per day of HC. Problem is that I am not having soem problems sleeping. Do you think there is an issue of too much HC now? Maybe my Cortisol levels are too high in the evening and it is causing problems? My temps are still not stable, so that is why I am confused. I am doing a saliva Cortisol test tomorrow, so should help to figure out. But any suggestions? > > Thanks > Dena > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Dena, from what I have learned from Val in the past, you need to be off of your HC for at least two weeks to test your adrenals via saliva. If you are taking the test tomorrow and are still on HC at present the saliva testing will not give you an adequate measurement. Guest guest
I actually am one that has suffered with insomnia and was unable to sleep for two months straight. It was horrible. I am off Cortisol and have added 15 mcg of Cytomel to my nighttime dose so far. I am not able to take much in the day. I am low in ferritin and hopefully as that gets up there I can add more. I am now reduced my sleep medication in half and am sleeping like a baby with Cytomel and 75 mg or Blue bonnet Iron a night. I would definitely get a saliva test done before putting yourself through misery. The doctors I first worked with only did blood cortisol tests and I was a mess.Rhonda All, All, I stopped taking T3 about 2 weeks ago because I was not seeing the results even after taking 150mcg a day.
