Guest guest
Hi Lethal Lee, In a very excellent post regarding supps that you recently made on the NTHA-Chat, you said: " Alpha Lipoic Acid is also a VERY good Liver support as well as an outstanding anti-oxidant. I use this one 3x100mg spread over the day. ALA raises Glutathione. I do NOT buy into comments that it interferes with Thyroid conversion. " I took this for years but stopped because I was scared of the conversion thing. I also pulled my husband off of it as he recently is starting to develop a rt3 problem and I didn't want to exacerbate it. However, I've never been completely sure it interfered with conversion. The studies seemed a bit nebulous. I couldn't understand if it was interfering by binding the t4 they were giving to the mice AT THE SAME EXACT TIME. The studies didn't seem to be performed on healthy mice (or humans) who weren't taking thyroid meds at all. Can you elaborate if you have time since you don't believe with ALA interfering with t4 to t3 conversion? Thank you, Kathleen
