Guest guest
An Osteopathic doctor found my reverse T3 dominance (i had no idea). she had me take my basal temps and then ordered the right labs. I did have to figure out how to treat it properly (thanks to STTM, Val, Nick & this group), but i'm very grateful to her and realize how lucky i am. Yes i think it can make a huge difference. :)Lila > > Is anyone using an integrative medicine doctor? Guest guest
My doctor is an integrative medicine doctor. She is more knowledgeable about thyroid, adrenal and Rt3 issues. She is also willing to learn when she doesn't know something. I bring in things to her all the time from this group and she is very open to them.VeniziaSubject: Integrative Medicine DoctorTo: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, August 13, 2010, 4:06 PM Is anyone using an integrative medicine doctor? Guest guest
I just started with one. I don't know the answer to that question yet. I liked her (I always see women as men 'usually' think us women are just being 'emotional' and need anti-depresants!) Only had one visit with her so far and she has me monitoring my temperature every 3 hours for 3 weeks. It's very low. She has suggested " 's Temperature Syndrome " , which I have not made up my mind about yet. So any thougthts anyone has on this 'syndrome' are welcome! My only 'complaint' that I can't wrap my brain around is that this doctor is a regular MD who is covered on my insurance plan, yet I had to pay out of pocket for the initial visit, and I can't figure out why because she didn't 'do' anything other than any other doctor does on an initial visit except get vitals, history, etc., send me for lab work (which is covered) and then told me to monitor my temp for the 3 weeks. Seems like that visit should be covered by insurance, and that should we choose to treat 'whatever ails me' in an 'integrative fashion' that then it would be out of pocket. I am curious about insurance/out of pocket costs for you.
