Guest guest
Hi Val, Nick, Margery, I have been on iron for two years now and my last labs showed my ferritin had climbed to 254. I had started out of 4 caps per day, brought it down to three caps per day and these labs values reflect my levels while taking 2-27mg Bluebonnet Iron capsules daily. I have again cut my dose back to only one 27mg capsule daily, for about two weeks now. What I have been noticing lately is about thirty minutes after I do take my iron my heart rate goes up and I get sort of jittery. I didn't think I should entirely come off my iron since I had a problem with low ferritin in the past but is this symptoms quite possibly from too much iron? And if so, what should I do? I don't want to stop taking the iron if it is going to deplete, but I don't like this feeling either. Any suggestions as to what I should do is appreciated. If I come off of the iron completely how will I know that it is not just slowly depleting to the point that I will eventually develop problems taking my T3? Thanks as always!
