Doctor threatening to mess with my Cytomel prescription

Hi Val,

I'm taking 25 mcg Cytomel twice a day along with Cortef, 10 mgs. I feel

absolutely perfect on it. Not hypo, not hyper, just perfect. But at my last lab

test my TSH was 10 something.

My regular nurse practitioner went on vacation and the jerk doctor is trying to

mess with the Cytomel dose and put me on Synthroid, which doesn't work for me.

He demanded that I have another test in 11 days. I was just researching and I

read somewhere that you have to stop taking the Cytomel for ten days to get it

out of your system.

Would you recommend doing that?

Also do you have any med research that tells about the tsh results being

worthless while on Cytomel?

I'm getting so worried that he will mess with my dose. He should read the

Hypocratic Oath.
