Moderator Nick's " Do I need to increase? " page has very good guidelines for

this, here's the link:

http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/doineed.htm

You should feel better after a T3 increase. If you do not, you may have

encountered a T3 intolerance issue, such as your iron being too low, or taking

more T3 than your current adrenal status can cope with (cortisol issues).

Iron - levels should be: ferritin of 70-90, % saturation of 35-45. Anything

lower may cause T3 intolerance.

Adrenal/cortisol - here's the link to Moderator Nick's adrenals page:

Nanci, since you don't know your cortisol status via saliva, make sure your

temps are stable before each increase or you could find yourself in trouble. You

take your temp 3 hours after you get up, 3 hrs after that and again 3 hrs after

that (Dr Rind). Then you average those 3 temps. Your temps should only differ by

..2 degrees for 5 days in a row before raising. You can download a graph to chart

on.
