Guest guest
I would like to know when people here are talking about clearing RT3 what exactly is defined as clearing, is this a certain acceptable level within the test range, or if you are just under the higher side, is that still defined as clearing, surely the body MUST have some RT3, isn't it there for protection of the body against certain things, like starvation etc: Just curious to know what figure to aim for. Thanks Sandy
Guest guest
Hi Sandy: Labs are useful, but clearance isn't based on a lab number. Moderator Nick's excellent website says: " The main symptom of RT3 issues is that of hypothyroidism that won't respond to treatment " from http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/whatare.htm So clearance is when we've managed to clear the receptors of the RT3 that was blocking them, so our hypothyroidism WILL RESPOND to treatment. Yes, it was there originally as protection against starvation, but generally in modern times it is just not needed. > > I would like to know when people here are talking about clearing RT3 what exactly is defined as clearing, is this a certain acceptable level within the test range, or if you are just under the higher side, is that still defined as clearing, surely the body MUST have some RT3, > isn't it there for protection of the body against certain things, like starvation etc: > Just curious to know what figure to aim for. > > Thanks > Sandy >
