Guest guest
Moderator Nick has a web page mentioning this. See the FAQs near the bottom. Here's the link: http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/temperat.htm Ideally the body monitors and adjusts internal temp, so body temps should not be too much affected by outside temps. My own temp drops when I'm low on cortisol. > > How much-if any, does ambient temperature play into our temperature readings? At work where we keep the thermostat around 71F I usually test lower-especially if I am relaxed doing paperwork, which inclines me to get a little sleepy. My temp can fall .5F when this happens. > > At home, I keep it around 75F and generally have been hitting my average temps of 98.6F. > > Anyone else have this problem or know if ambient temps effect our results? >

If your system is working well you can cope with a lower ambient without dropping, if you are " on the edge " then a low ambient can cause your temperature to drop. If it drifts slowly down over many hours then a little more T3 may help. If it can drop over the period of 30 mins or so then it's more likely to be adrenal and a stress dose may help it Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
