Guest guest
Geo, yes mornings get me to. Maybe sleeping on my back the lungs don't fill up properly due to muscle weakness. Guest guest
Geo, I too find myself running short of breath and have difficulty finishing my sentences. I like to talk and that was what I did for a living, run my mouth, L.O.L. However, I have a couple of other issues influencing my shortage of air, allergies and sleep apnea. I think all of us find ourselves running short of breath when we speak. I know for a fact that setting in my chair, watching TV, reading, or napping I have a tendency to breathe shallow and I would suspect a lot of us do the same thing. For me, the first couple of hours in the morning after getting up, getting awake and taking the meds are my most difficult time. After that I seem to do pretty good unless I've been outside getting the mail or watering the flower beds. If I the time and practice breathing deep I do well and that is the only advice I've for you, practice breathing deep. Running short of air /anyone else ? Anyone else find that your running out of air in the morning during a sentence ,seems like my diaphram does,nt want to work in the morining . Seems like im running out of air .Anyone else .Is there something for that ? GEO

Guest guest
Hi Geo. Yes! I do find that i run out of air...not just in the morning...but more so in the morning. i think it may be due to the diaphragm, but not sure. I stand up and hold onto the back of a chair and try to slowly stretch mt body taller, while taking in very slow, very deep breaths....like inflating a balloon in my adbomen.....I try to hold the inhale for a few seconds. helps somewhat. Guest guest
Hi Geo My neuro told me it was normal to have decreased breathing capacity in the morning as our lungs have been flattened. I too have that problem. Find it hard to talk and get moving in the mornings. Actually, feel terrible. But later I perk up and feel really good. Guest guest
Geo, I have found myself short of air also. During my recent neuro visit, doc said to do deep breathing excerises & to " pound " on my chest and sides. He looked like a monkey when he showed me, suppose I will too, lol. Hope this helps you.
