Guest guest
Nick, I took about 6 weeks to make the first increase from 5 to 75. The pharmacist had said 3. Otherwise all the changes I have made have been what I considered slow. I have not gotten the results of the adrenal tests yet. I have been taking B12 shots and the basic B12 test very good. But from other test the Dr. said it was no available B12 and gave me an oral B12+ instead. I appreciate your response but would you tell me what you mean by your statement on swapping to naturals."If it does not work then give up, swap back to T3 only, and stay on it long term." I thought natural was the way to go. That statement, which I only actually saw was what made me to doubt what to say when the doctor ask if I wanted to go natural or other. Thanks for your help. Betty >My GP started me on 5cmg Cytomel. Stayed there >3 months. It made the T3 Lower. Then after reading all this it was changed to >75ctmg. Guest guest
You high pulse was not form the T3 being too high but form intolerance. You need cortisol and IRON tested or NO thyroid hormones will work right for you. I woudl ask for that testing and YES Armur woul be better than T4 meds thogh the dose she gave oyu I doubt wil be harmful. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.faqhelp.webs.com/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ > Bump > > > >> I have only been working with this a few months and don't seem to be making any >> progress. Guest guest
, You said the dose she prescribed "doubt would be harmful". Would it be helpful? My iron is 55 (37-145). Cortisol test are not back yet. Should I be waiting for that before doing much about the thyroid? I think I am getting more confused than ever and am very tired of having to do the thinking when the doctor should be the one. I need a plan and not continue to just mess around. Guest guest
Ferritin often goes high from inflammation. Most of us with thyroid and /. or adrenal problems have inflammaiton. This is why we stopped using JUST ferritin to determine iron levels. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Val, > Forgot to post ferritin. 149 (13-150)The labs that indicate anemia still show it and doesn't seem to react with iron or ferritin levels. > Betty > > >>>>> I have only been working with this a few months and don't seem to >>> be making any >>>>> progress.
