Guest guest
I'm not Nick/Val/an authority. I am new, here to learn & get some answers to my own situation. That said, would be interested in seeing your other labs, prior to initiation of Cytomel only therapy. At what point do people cease T3 only therapy... does the rT3 have to be at zero? As to your symptoms, might be shooting in the dark here, but how is the quality of your diet and frequency of exercise? Are you taking any other supplements to help you thru this? I've found magnesium, vit D and fish oils (specifically DHA and EPA) to help with all of the issues you've mentioned. Perhaps too, you're not spacing your T3 dosing out in even intervals, or you're ingesting something like calcium, iron, other minerals, soy at the same time as your Cytomel which is interfering with absorption. In that case it might be helpful to take it sublingually or between the cheek and gum. Cheers! Guest guest
Hypo and Hyper feel very much the same adn you have crossed th eline for sure into hyper. WOW I have never seen a FT3 that high! I would reduce to mno more than 75 mcg for about a week and are you on adrnela support? If nto you may need some and if oyu are you may need to increase it for about a month to lessen the strain on adrenals those high levels can cause. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Nick/Val > > I am 7 weeks in on T3 only. Guest guest
Val, I've seen you post this before -- that hypo and hyper can feel the same. So how do we tell the difference, besides labs? I see that wrote that his temps are 97.5 rising to 98.5 by 3:00pm with pulse steady at 80. So obviously his temps and pulse didn't let him know he was hyper. I ask because I am feeling sort of the same way, like I passed my sweet spot and feeling a ton of adrenal strain. Are labs the only way to confirm? Thank you. > > Nick/Val > > > > I am 7 weeks in on T3 only. A.M. temps 97.5 rising to 98.5 by 3:00pm. > > pulse steady at 80. Im at 150 ug cytomel / day. Guest guest
Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml That shoudl give you a clue! He has only been on T3 for 7 weeks his receptors CANNOT be cleared. Thsi si pooled T3 which even though it si not reachign recepotrs properly. it si causing adrenla stress and irritating the nervous system. If this much T3 hit the receptors and they wer opne he would be in a hospital with pulse over 300. Common sense tells us this is too much T3 for the length of time he has been taking it. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml
Guest guest
Okay, so he's not really hyper, he's just pooling. TRUE hyper would be the t3 actually getting to the cells and causing high pulse and temp, right? Gotcha. Thank you. > > Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml >
Guest guest
His symptoms were just like mine and I did not have a fast pulse or high temps. My Ft3 was a 6.0. The only difference between us is that I was on T3 for 6 months and you said mine wasn't pooling and to back down to t3 75mcg. > > Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml >
Guest guest
Im not sure what i did wrong. Did I raise too fast? Should i have my adrenals checked again? I have lowered my dose and allready my am temp has dropped to 97. my Rt3 is low now but the receptors have not cleared yet so that level really doesnt tell me anything? What else should i be aware of with t3 pooling? > > Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml >
Guest guest
T3 pooling is generally from low iron or lwo cortisol. Have you done an adrenal saliva test? I would redo one now even if oyu did one before. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Im not sure what i did wrong. I am also on testosterone suppl, 80mg 2X weekly, and my levels came back very high this month. Can testosterone block T3?? > >>> Ft3 19.2 2.0-4.4 pg/ml > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
NO HC before a saliva test! YOu need ot be OFF all adrenal support for at least 2 weeks before doing this test or it will not be accurate. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Yes my iron and cortisol have been ok, you did a phone consult w me a month ago. history under yinyang42b.on my way to docs now and will get a saliva kit.should i take some hc now to protect myself? > what dose?
