Guest guest
Are you stoppign iron for at least 5 days and avoiding high iron foods before testing? That si such a small amount of iron I would not expect it to take you over range but over range lkabs happen if oyu have not stopped taking it before testing. I am not ral familiar with oyur ranges for the aldosterone. In the USA our usuall salt fasting range is 2-31 adn anything below 14 is suspect for needing florinef. Under 10 is a probably needs Florinef and under 8 definitely wil lbenefit from ti. You can sort these variances out woiht the renin and electrolyte labs. HIGH renin means this is the MOST aldosterone your body CAN produce which si not good. Low aldostoerne causes lwo sodium and usually high potasisum which you have thus I believ you have an aldosterone problem. Licorice root may be tried if your BP is low. That would be my recommendation as yours is not in the dirt lwo but still needs support. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > > >>> >>>> Thats what has been confusing me that I have some hypo symptoms yet I can't put weight on which I believe is a Hyper symptom. >>>> OK I won't start T3 until we look at this. >>> >>> OK, just had this back from Val who's having problams with Yahoo and >>> e-mails at the moment >>> >>> Her take on it is this >>> >>>> What I am seeing is signs of MARKED adrenal failure. Guest guest
It may not be enough as oyu WANT one thta is dstrong enough to affect your BP. Your BP is on the low side so needs ot come up. This is what aldosteorne does, helps your body retain salt and it uses potasisum to push sodium inot the cells thus serum potassium goes down and serum sodium shoudl come up ONCE the cells are topped up wiht what thye need. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.org/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.faqhelp.webs.com/ http://www.health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ Hi Val Yes I do stop the iron supplementation 5 days prior to testing. I am vegetarian and just continue with my normal diet prior to the test. But you are right as the high serum result in Feb 09 that I referred to in my earlier post was recorded at a time when I did not know about that requirement. All the recent tests have been done correctly though. I have converted my serum Aldosterone measurements to what you are familiar with. Aldosterone 16 (Range 4 - 34) I have converted my Saliva Cortisol readings as well so that they are more familiar to you. 8am 1.56 (0.22 - 1.51) Midday 0.12 (0 - 0.4o) 4pm 0.14 (0.07 - 4.0) 8pm 0.12 (0.04 - 0.29) Midnight 0.11 (0 - 0.18) So following on from your explanantion below I probably don't need Florinef. Is that your call as well? I have seen this Adrenal support capsule. "These capsules contain a mixture of Magnolia Bark, White Peony and Licorice which help fire up your kidneys which will aid adrenal function." "WARNING: The total daily dose of licorice is 320mg which can be taken long term without affecting blood pressure or reacting with any medications which can occur at higher doses." What do you think, does this sound like the right thing for me. If not can you recommend the correct one for me? Please advise when you have a moment. Thank you Kindest regards Wayne > >>> > >>>> Thats what has been confusing me that I have some hypo symptoms yet I can't put weight on which I believe is a Hyper symptom. > >>>> OK I won't start T3 until we look at this. > >>> > >>> OK, just had this back from Val who's having problams with Yahoo and > >>> e-mails at the moment > >>> > >>> Her take on it is this > >>> > >>>> What I am seeing is signs of MARKED adrenal failure.
