Guest guest
If and when you feel you wish to switch back to a natural desicated thyroid I would not recommend the new armour formula. when armour changed their formula many patients had a return of symtoms with the additional cellulose that they put in . better alternatives are now the canadian erfa, naturthroid, or compounding NDT made with no filler or acidopholous only. just my humble opinion, Sharon Remember! Guest guest
This means it has cleared from the BLOOD which happens early on in taking T3 onyl It does NOT mean it has cleared your receptors. You aer sitl hypo by your tems so unless it has bene 12+ weeks on T3 oinyl I would be raising the T3 rather than addingin T4 just yet. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ Help anyone!?! I would give it 16 weeks after starting T3 before thinking about swapping, that gives receptors a chance to clear and you a chance to then find a stable T3 dose. I also had very bad experiences on the new Armour, have not tried Nature thyroid since they lost their original manufacturer (Time Caps used to make their natural and many others). Thyroid S, Greater Pharma, and Erfa are all spoken well of. > >(my basal temp has been steady at exactly 97.6 for over a week) > >thoughts anyone!?! How long has it been on T3? Guest guest
Thanks Nick!!! With RT3 still in my receptors, no wonder I have not experienced dramatic symptom improvements! In answer to your question: I've been on "T3 only" for six weeks. Previously I was on Synthroid (100) and Cytomel (25) with labs "in range" but a ratio of 14.4. Unable to find a doctor who thought it important to reduce my RT3, I decided to go it alone. Right now I am taking 125 daily Cynomel from Mexico - 25 mg at 6am, 10am., 2pm, 6pm 10pm. Symptoms worse in the morning. Mostly brain fog, muscle stiffness and fatigue, hard to control emotions, apathy, low energy...Basal 97.6 and steady.Iron is "in range" but may be low???Iron Serum 72Ferritin 51 (20-200)Total Iron Binding 296 (250-450)Seratonin Total Iron 96 (26-170) History - I had a four year period of my life full of incredible stress in which I put on over 40 lbs. AFTER all that, I was diagnosed as hypothyroid. Took meds to get "in range" but the fatigue, emotions, apathy etc remained well after the stress was gone. then I happened across the STTM website, got the book, read your website and 6 months later, here I am. I do believe I was undiagnosed hypothyroid during those four years of stress because of increased RT3 production. When I was finally diagnosed, all the T4 I was taking to get me "in range" probably kept my RT3 too high. When I asked about T3 my doctor gladly added it. But that probably just pushed my overload of T4 to produce even more RT3! When I asked about T3 only, my doctor (bless her heart) looked it up and for fear of what she has read, told me to find a endo who believes all this to treat me. Unable to, I "went it alone" on T3 only. But being uncomfortable without a doctor, I contacted her again about Armour. She ordered the labs noted above and I see her on Monday. Having her order labs helps tremendously with cost etc. And I wonder if I might be in risk of losing my insurance coverage by going against doctor's orders. I am hoping to stay under her care. Any thoughts - GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! from Wisconsin : )To: RT3_T3 Sent: Fri, July 9, 2010 5:02:40 AMSubject: Re: Clearance? > >Could my new "ratio" really be 118?
