Hi:)

i was wondering what the symptoms associated with iron loading are...

are they enough for a person to notice?

my twin sister is about 12 weeks into t3 only and she has tested high in iron a

few times, and she has never supplemented any iron. (just fyi, i also have some

funny iron labs myself...i started t3 only in march...i seem to have tested on

the low side, but once i started heavily supplementing my labs went way high.

then i stopped, and my iron sat went down to 27 and serum iron went to 75, but

my binding capacity was rather low. just funny pattern that i dont quite

understand, and wonder if its related to my sisters...high saturation and hi

serum iron, while her tibc is low and her uibc not as low as you would think itd

be....both of us have i total bilirubin, and normal other liver enzymes.

after starting t3 only she seems to have this concentrated back pain in the

upper middle part of her back, that she says feels like it needs to crack, or

like all of the tension is cenralizing at that one point.

she also has had a metal-like taste on her tongue on and off. it was really

noticable at first, and now it might have faded away, i have to check with her

to see how it has been.

our other sister out in hawaii also happend to text me the other day asking what

it means to have a metal taste in your mouth. she has never focused on her

thyroid or anything, and i couldnt tell you what her iron labs are. but she has

some thinning hair issues.

i couldnt tell her what the metal taste might mean.

do you think its related to iron?

thanks lee!!!!
