Pooling means it si high in blood (serum) levels but you are still

hypothyroid as it cannot get into the cells for various reasons.

Usually caused by low iorn, low por high cortiosl, or high RT3. any

an all of thise things cn be present at the same time,

So, if a person has chronically low ferritin, and the levels get towards normal using either oral iron or infusions, then the pooling will automatically not occur? The pooling problem (high in serum, yet hypothyroid) should clear itself or does a person still have to do the T3 protocol? Sort of a chicken/egg question...is the ferritin not getting stored b/c the receptor sites are being blocked by T4?From: T
