Hi Dorothy: mine always go down, too! I thought it might be the thermometer

itself, which would be at about 70 degrees, cooling the bottom of my tongue a

little where it contacted the tissue.

You are right, putting both in at the SAME TIME right next to each other would

be a better way to compare them than doing one AFTER the other.
