Guest guest
When you have high RT3 basically your thyroid meds can't work. So your hypo symptoms will be worse. heavy and long periods are a hypo symptom. Fatigue is a hypo symptom. as for the weepiness and acne, those might have more to do with your sex hormones or even adrenals. (weak adrenals can have you feeling touchy). You can try Sam-E and L-tyrosine for the weepiness. Both are very effective and you can tell the difference in like 20 minutes of taking them if you are feeling weepy. Acne is trickier. I know when i am emotional I tend to want to eat ice cream and ice cream makes me break out! most of us have to increase our T3 doses slowly and every 3 to 5 days when the hypo symptoms get worse I know I have to increase again. I haven't hit clearance yet as i am only at 5 1/2 weeks, but am up to 100mcg cytomel in 5 doses. This group and nick's website have been invaluable. I do not feel as good as i did before i had an RT3 problem, but I feel a lot better now than I did before starting the T3 only. I know i have to be patient to get to the point of clearing the RT3. keep asking questions here and you will find the help and support you need. Sharon Remember! Am on my first month of cytomel after having an RT3 problem. I have no thyroid due to thyroid cancer. I have noticed the last few months my PMS has been horrible....fatigue, lots of weepiness, acne. Will this get better as my RT3 improves? Also, when I am trying to sleep at night I notice my heart is pounding....what could be the cause of that? Thanks! Guest guest
Sharon,Thank you for sharing that you are feeling some better, even at 5 1/2 weeks into it. I am 1 1/2 wk into it, up to 37.5 mcg and still feeling the same crappy self. I am looking forward to getting some time behind me! Just knowing you are feeling a little better gives us newbies hope!Nanci To: RT3_T3 Sent: Mon, August 16, 2010 10:48:02 PMSubject: Re: RT3 cause worsening PMS When you have high RT3 basically your thyroid meds can't work. Guest guest
Hi Nanci, yeah I think the first 2 weeks is when i felt the worst. If your adrenals can handle it, up your dose every 3 days by 6.25. I was thinking more along the lines of every 5 days but I found I was feeling really fatigued by the 4th day of having stayed at one dose so upping after 3 days has been better. i really take my temp and pulse a lot. I carry my thermometer with me and I use the stopwatch feature on my cell phone. To have your sex hormone levels checked a saliva test is best...usually on day 12 and day 21. hang in there, Sharon Remember! Dolls are people, too....have you hugged your dolls today? Guest guest
Saliva for sex hormones is ONLY good if not taking any of those sex hormones. ONCE on hormones serum testing is best,. This si why I recommend gettign serum to begin wiht as that way you havea reference and continuity. BUT oyu DO need ot get the FREE horones levels not just the total. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ Hi Nanci, Â yeah I think the first 2 weeks is when i felt the worst.
