Guest guest
Posey, I far as I know the dry eye is not a PLS problem, at least not with me. I have to ask where do you live perhaps its allergy related or sometimes as we age it can be a problem. we do have a eye doctor who has PLS " Alper " in Turkey he might reply on your e-mail. Guest guest
Dear NEW friends, I have just found your web-site. My husband was diagnosed with PLS about six years ago. He has a baclofen pump and a morphine pump. He has continually dry eyes. This dry eye thing is really crimping his style. He is unable to read or use his computer without tons of eye drops. Are there others of you with this problem. Is is related to the PLS? I keep trying to get the Opthomologist to research this possibility. So far nothing from him. Thanks, Posey
Guest guest
Hi Posey, Welcome to the group, that none of us wants to belong to, but are very grateful to have found. I was diagnosed with " probably PLS " , in 1999. The neuro's & NIH still aren't sure that its PLS or HSP. But since no one in my family has also been diagnosed, it's still probably PLS. I'm very fortunate to be progressing slowly, and have no speech or swallowing problems. I wonder if your hubby's dry eyes could be from some of the medications he takes? I know several of them can cause dry mouth. I am more troubled with watery eyes. Some of that can be blamed on my just being somewhat emotional at times, and also allergies, so I can't say that I ever have dry eyes. Stick around, and surely someone will be able to help you out. Once again, welcome to a fine group of wonderful people. Sorry you have to have the reason to be here, but we're glad you found us! Take care, & keep the faith, Laurel from IA Dry eyes Dear NEW friends, I have just found your web-site. My husband was diagnosed with PLS about six years ago.
