Guest guest
Hello, Looking for some advice here. Since starting (actually restarting) cytomel and Isocort about two weeks ago I am doing worse, not better. The only reason for this that I can think of would be that my iron and ferritin levels are still too low to handle anything. Here is what has been happening since starting back on cytomel and isocort - more hair loss (which had actually stopped before starting meds), periods of extreme dizziness and pounding heart where I have to lie down for 1/2 hour to an hour so I won't fall or faint, lots of headaches, some mild nausea that comes and goes. On the other hand I have had improvement with the body/muscle aches and pains which were getting pretty bad before taking the cytomel. Any advice on this situation? I am very worried about the periods of dizziness.
Guest guest
This could be T3 intolerance due ot low Ferritin so I would back it up a little and see if things improve. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Hello, > Looking for some advice here. Guest guest
Hi , Forgot to mention the other symptom of either sweating like crazy (usually after taking my isocort and cytomel) or if I'm not sweating like crazy I'm usually cold. So my ferritin was 17 last time it was checked about 3 months ago and I have been using the blue bonnet but can only tolerate about 27 mgs per day. If it is still so low (haven't had it rechecked and was told ferritin would not come up when taking so little iron) would I be better off to stop isocort and t3 altoghether until my iron and ferritin are way up? And is the low iron/ferritin a problem for the adrenals or a problem for the thyroid or both? Thanks much! Carolyn To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 1:08:04 PMSubject: Re: now what do I do? Guest guest
I would stop the T3 unlkess oyu have no thyroid funciotn. No reason to stop the Isocort. But I agree that si not enough iron to raise your levels. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ Hi , Forgot to mention the other symptom of either sweating like crazy (usually after taking my isocort and cytomel) or if I'm not sweating like crazy I'm usually cold. Carolyn From: T To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 1:08:04 PM Subject: Re: now what do I do?  This could be T3 intolerance due ot low Ferritin so I would back it up a little and see if things improve. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Hello, > Looking for some advice here. Guest guest
the isocort seems to be the one causing the excessive sweating so does that mean I need more or less? I had worked up to 12 per day in three doses (5, 4, 3). To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 1:23:27 PMSubject: Re: now what do I do? I would stop the T3 unlkess oyu have no thyroid funciotn. Guest guest
High cortiosl and lwo both cause sweating as dos lwo aldost3rone. But the intolerance to T3 would be the most pressing issue. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ the isocort seems to be the one causing the excessive sweating so does that mean I need more or less? I had worked up to 12 per day in three doses (5, 4, 3). From: T To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 1:23:27 PM Subject: Re: now what do I do?  I would stop the T3 unlkess oyu have no thyroid funciotn.
