Guest guest
I have read that some insurance companies give bonuses to the doctors who order the fewest/cheapest tests. So some doctors have a financial incentive to not order tests, particularly expensive ones. > > > Hello, > > > > > > I have beeen on T3 only for 6 weeks. I think my adrenals have shut down as I have horrible energy during the day after having a very stressful weekend. I thought my adrenals were pretty stable, but now I am having second thoughts. Also I am concerned as I just read an article from the American Thyroid Association that discusses T3 only treatment. Because I feel so bad, I'm getting worried that I'm hurting myself somehow. My temperatures range from 95.5 first thing in the morning to 98.0 if I'm lucky around 5:00 pm. They average about 97.0. > > > > > > Yesterday after trying to figure out my energy issues, I decided to get some HC cream. I'm not sure how to dose this? I also was thinking of ordering some Isocort. Should I ween off T3 and > start on some kind of adrenal support? > > > > > > Thank you, > > > > > > Beckey > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ > > > > > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
I must add one more thing, Vitamin D tests are not expensive. You can go to www.vitamindcouncil.com and get a test easily for around $60. My local hospital will do a Vitamin D test for $50 without doctor's orders. That isn't expensive and having the correct level of Vitamin D in your blood is essential to recovering from a RT3 issue and having a healthy immune system.
