Ambient temperature and temp readings?

How much-if any, does ambient temperature play into our temperature readings? At

work where we keep the thermostat around 71F I usually test lower-especially if

I am relaxed doing paperwork, which inclines me to get a little sleepy. My temp

can fall .5F when this happens.

At home, I keep it around 75F and generally have been hitting my average temps

of 98.6F.

Anyone else have this problem or know if ambient temps effect our results?
