Guest guest
Val has said that electrolytes are cheapest at www.econolabs.com ($22). Just type in electrolytes. I don't know if aldosterone is cheapest there. You might compare prices with www.privatemdlabs.com which is offering 15% off if you answer a few survey questions, they give you the code for 15%. I just had my free T3 and reverse T3 done there and it ended up being the least expensive with the 15% off. > > Hi, > > Which place is the best/ least expensive for testing > > 1. aldosterone > > 2. electrolytes? Guest guest
I always shop between econolabs.com, directlabs.com and prepaidlab.com Here are the aldosterone testing guidelines from the Adrenals group: " So here are the guidelines. 1. Salt fast for 24- 48 hours 2. Have the test done at 8am 3. be up and around for two hours before the test.. 4. have the blood draw while sitting up 5. have sodium and potassium at the same time. HOW DO I TEST FOR ALDOSTERONE? Testing for aldosterone will be either a 24 hour urine test or a blood test†" the latter which is more highly recommended to pursue with your doctor. It may also be important to avoid all salt for 24 hours before the test. It’s worthy to note that aldosterone levels can be doubled if you are pregnant, and are normally a little higher in children than in adults. For a complete picture, ask your doctor to include your renin for a complete picture, as well as sodium and potassium. See a testing facility without a prescription below*. You can also try a self-test†" the pupil test, listed in Discovery Step Two on the Adrenal page*. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WOMEN: it is strongly recommended to test your aldosterone in the first week of your menstrual cycle and not later. Just as in pregnancy, higher progesterone levels especially around mid-cycle and later can drive your aldosterone up, since aldosterone is made from progesterone. from http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/8NlhTN_5Ea9x42e5hn5UrizVkfkiqI4y64YF4S-0aDKf61CZKrA\ WXPfbYDmOiCSpTJgfOJcvSPk_jDVPe9Kmnd8Q04wx9iMs9o5uvUBW_L98yNPbj80Whg/aldosterone.\ txt *Unfortunately some of the LINKS mentioned here don't seem to be working today (?) but the Aldosterone TEST INFO is still good. > > Hi, > > Which place is the best/ least expensive for testing > > 1. aldosterone > > 2. electrolytes?
