Guest guest
I did not have the itchy eyes, but did have dry, burning eyes. They did get better as I increased my T3. I used eyedrops, " Refresh Celluvisc " for sensitive eyes, they helped a lot. Here's a link: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Refresh-Celluvisc-Lubricant-Eye-Drops-30-ct/1453?sourc\ eid=1500000000000007346330&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=1453 PS. I very rarely need them any more, now that I'm closer to my ideal dose of T3. > > I haven't seen any posts of eye symptoms as of yet but I am experiencing very itchy, burning eyes which I understand is a manifestation of hypothyroid. Does this go away when the RT3 gets corrected and when a person is on an optimal dose of T3 and/or NDT? I am also having blurry/double vision. Anyone else experiencing the eye problems and have any suggestions to correct the blurry vision, itching and burning? Thanks! > > Carolyn >
Guest guest
I have had this also. Mine is better, but not totally gone. I know I am on the right track with the T3 though. Guest guest
Yes, I did have blurry vision. It has also improved as I've gotten less hypo. > > > > I haven't seen any posts of eye symptoms as of yet but I am experiencing very > >itchy, burning eyes which I understand is a manifestation of hypothyroid. Guest guest
Hi Carolyn, I have also experienced " crunchy eye syndrome " as I like to call it and get blurry, cross-eyed kind of vision when I am hypo. As my dosage increases and I get less hypo, those symptoms go away. I use some sample eye drops I got from my eye doctor for the sticky eyes. Systane, maybe? But any tear-like eye drops help. As far as the blurry vision, the only thing I've found to correct that is to get your thyroid hormone dosage right. I hope you get relief soon! >
Guest guest
I hadn't thought of this symptom for a while now, when I was taking 4 gr. Naturethroid my eyes would blur especially when trying to read, just couldn't get anything in focus even with my new reading glasses. I don't have that issue now, been on T3 a bit over 3 months now.<<Posted by: "Carolyn Glackin" carolglack@... carolglackTue Aug 17, 2010 3:45 pm (PDT)Thank you Margery! Did you have the double or blurry vision as well? If so, did it improve with T3 treatment? Thanks.Carolyn>> Kem in Eugene <º)))><
