Guest guest
The cytomel is making me feel truly exhausted to the point where I can barely make it through the day. Prior to this I had good physical energy--continued my slow jog of 3 miles a day that I've done for the last 30 years and which would make me feel good and not wipe me out. Now it's a completely different story! I can hardly stand up by the evening and just want to sleep. Even at work, but 3 pm I can scarcely think straight(I have an analytical job, so this is not good). I feel that I've been plunged into the kind of adrenal fatigue that I read about but up to now have never experienced. Before the t3, I was taking 20 mg of HC divided into 4 doses and doing fine. I'm planning on upping this probably to 30 mg a day, but this does scare me as I'm five feet 2 and a half and weigh 114 pounds. I'm on 37.5 mcg T3. My ferritin about 3 weeks ago was 38, and I'm supplementing with 200 mg of iron a day. My ration of T3 to reverse T3 is 6.7. I know the ferritin is low, but could it be causing this terrible reaction? Help!

The low iron will be causing adrenal stress and the T3 " uses up " cortisol getting into the cells. Nick
Guest guest
i have a 12 yr old daughter that appears to have a rt3 issue...we are waiting for her cortisol results and iron panel...will get that back when we see doctor at beginning of next month...but should we need to is it possible to give a 12 yr old t3 only meds?? or should we start out with NT and see how that goes since her ft3 was only midrange.. if she should need t3 meds do you think it would be better to try slow release since she is an active 7th grader playing sports and has long days at school?? >>Before the t3, I was taking 20 mg of HC divided into 4 doses and doing fine. Guest guest
Nick: With all the complex dosing schedules and fatigue, I've been very lax about temp. taking especially since it's awkward in my workplace (very hectic environment). In other words, I haven't been doing it!But I will get disciplined about it starting at the weekend and report. In the meantime, I'll up the cortisol as planned. Thanks for help! > > > > >Before the t3, I was taking 20 mg of HC divided into 4 doses and doing fine.
