Yes your FT3/RT3 ratio is 7.7 and needs to be at least 20 , preferably

higher so You do need ot go to T3 onytl.

site for the reccomended labs. My RT3 is elevated so this is why I joined your

will need to stop all T4 meds and go strickly onto T3??? Any lab help and

guidance would be greatly appreciated since my doctor does not know how to

interpret the labs.

Welcome. Your ferritin looks pretty good, there is also another iron test we've

found to be very useful, it's the % saturation result from an iron panel.

Target for good thyroid utilization is 35-45.

Ferritin test results can occasionally turn up falsely elevated by inflammation

or other causes, so that's why we're also looking at the % saturation now.

Have you read Moderator Nick's excellent website? It had answers to many of my

own questions. Here's the link:

starting and dosing - this is so important - to get iron and adrenals in place

first

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Your B12 is a little low. You could stand to supplement B12, get it up to at least 550, better over 1,000. Someone has probably already told you your D needs to come up too.

Hi Pam,

Thanks so much. and nope, no one has said anything about my b12 or my D. I

supplement D3 (1000 mg - powder caps) one in the am & one in the pm. How much

more would you recommend? Is it ok to take in the evening too, like I have

been? Or should I be taking all at once? Geez, I am so new at all this, lol!!!

Thanks so very much Pam ~ Blessings!

I woudl suggest a gel cap for the vitamin D I get 500IU gel caps from

Puritain Pride Vitamins onlyine and they have served me well. I take

10,000IU a day and have for over a year now. My levels are now holding

at 90.

Hi,

Regarding B12, find a nice multi-B supplement with B12 and folic acid in it; the B12 preferrably in the methylcobalamin form. Non of it needs to be a huge dose.

As for vitamin D, Val has good information.
