I am going to schedule a call for Tuesday as I have tons of questions.....I wanted to ask you if you knew the "best" adrenal insufficiency doctor in the US..not personally, but if you had suggestions. I don't want to waste my time with doctors who are clueless, but if there is someone anywhere you know of that would be great. Also, do you think I could contact the people you know who failed their ACTH test and weaned off steroids? I want to hear first hand how they did it, diet, supplements, etc. I refuse to give in to this and I don't want a lifelong of steroids... Also, do you need adrenal support after? like isocort indefinately? thanks..jen
Guest guest
I don;t keep a record of folks and their testing I really talk to way too many people but you can ask on the adrenals group when it reopens and if they are still hanging around, they should respond. Whiel I never had an ACTH stim test I WAS diagnosed as hypopit. By a rather good doctor that I did trust. I say did , while he is good in many respects he falls short on the Rt3 issues and tends to dose HC too high. He also pushes DHEA adn I have not seen iot work as he thinks it does. But I wil send you his name privately and you can decide. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: Rose To: rt3_t3 Sent: Sat, July 3, 2010 1:07:00 PM Subject: Fw: Val/doctors ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: Rose To: NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS Sent: Sat, July 3, 2010 1:05:58 PM Subject: Val/doctors Val. thanks for your time the other day. Guest guest
NOPE! That has been disproven repeatedly in the last 20 years. T3 DOES cross the blood brain barrier, It also crosses the placental barrier. it crosses oni a differnt transporteer than T4 oine all it;s own which is why in older studies it was missed. IF T3 did nto cross o the brinI would be in a worl of hurt as my FT4 is .26 My thyroid makes almost nbo hormone and ther ehave been others on her thta did fine oin just T3 wiht no thyroid. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ thanks...i figure without a thyroid i will always need some t4 to get into the brain as i have read...i appreciate your help..Thank God for you!!!
