Guest guest
Thyroglobulin antibodies tests done before I started T3 only indicated a high (out of range) Thyro AB test and low Peroxidase (because of thyroid removal). Does this indicate Hashimotos disease or do both tests have to be high (over range)? I am confused about this. I, too, have gone back and forth between feeling very hypo and hyper. I could never figure out what was wrong because my lab #'s seemed to be good. Then I tested for RT3 and that seemed to be the problem. I am only about 6 weeks into the T3 only regimen so we'll see how I feel at 12 week mark. My other question is, does anyone know whether being on T3 only could affect my antibodies? Just wondering whether I should retest those also when I am done with this. Thanks for replies.

High antibodies = hashi's Enough T3 will lower TSH and that in turn stops stimulating the antibodies so T3 only treatment can help the hashi's. Lower the antibodies like this and the hyper/hypo swings tend to stop.
