Guest guest
My husbands doctor took him off of cortisol and thyroid (t3) because she was putting him on the hcg diet as he is way overweight, diabetic, muscle weakness. He has lost 34 pounds and his labs show the following: tsh:1.08 (0.40-5.80) and FT4:1.1 (0.6-1.2) She did not do FT3 or a cortisol test. She told my husband he had lots of t4's so he is okay. He takes beta blockers for blood pressure plus lisiniprol. He told her that would blocvk the t4's from making t3's. She said not if he takes enough iodine it would not. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THIS BEFORE? I do not trust this doc, she took over his case from the other lady that did not want to deal with the cortisol and thyroid as we disagree with their methods. They also do not believer the saliva test is as accurate as the blood test. She doesn't seem to want to listen, am trying to get him to change over to my doc who believes in these tests and working with me using your theories on our thyroid website. He wants another saliva test to see where he is at, but I can see changes I do not like since off of cortisol. His feeling in his feet is worse now, still falls alot. Guest guest
NO! More iodine makes more T4 and thus more RT3 as the beta blockers will cause it to convert directly to RT3. And he does NOT have enough T4 anyway. GADS I hate doctors these days. I hate that I have to contradict them all the time, but ya know what? I wil till my last breath when they are this far wrong! http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > My husbands doctor took him off of cortisol and thyroid (t3) because she was putting him on the hcg diet as he is way overweight, diabetic, muscle weakness.
