Dear Val/Nick: I wonder if my ratio indicates a RT3 problem? My FT3 was 4.5 and my RT3 405........The doctor said the RT3 was 'slightly elevated' but I am reading now it is the ratio and not necessarily the number .........now I am confused..........Sandy

My new results are this:

-FT3: 4.5

-FT4: 1.3 (.8--1.8)

-RT3: 405

-Thyroid antibodies: 80 (<25)

-Iron 108 (50--200)

-Ferritin 106 (10--291)

-Cortisol AM (blood): 20 (5--25)

-Vit D3: 37

I know my RT3 is too high; the doc said to start with 12.5mg mid-day and cut down on my thyroid (dessicated) to 1 grain/day (currently 2 grains). Also definitely need to increase Vit D. He said my iron is fine??
