Guest guest
Your adrenal labs look pretty good. I would only take maybe some rhodiola am and PM for these levels. Your Thyroi d labs are near perfect for cleariung Rt3 and being on T3 onyl. ou r BP is runnign a tad on the low soide and your electrolytes look liek you could sue some mineralcorticoid support. Maybe a little licorice root in the Am along wiht lots of salt. Your SEX hormones are horrible! You need all three. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > > >> hi val, >> i posted my brand new cortisol results on the adrenals page, heres a link so you can reference those for a big picture >> > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/message/1806\ 57 > they are basically slightly over range in the am, normal at noon, high in range in evening, and below range at midnight. i moved my bedtime dose of t3 to the next morning, i start getting sleepy around 9-10 and i fall asleep so quickly, if i am out driving it is even hard to keep my eyes open, like my body is just shutting down whether i like it or not, lol. > took my blood pressure last night and it was low...98/68, hr 81, then rose to 113/70 upon standing. > just now (at 3pm... )i took it and it was 118/78, then i stood up and it was 113/54. right now my heartrate is over 100 and i have not taken any salt yet. i know when i do it will help my heartrate. > >> but as far as everything else, i just got my new labs back >> the rbc potass, and aldo are not finished yet, so i will post those when i get them. >> >> here they are, could you help me interpret please? i'd be so grateful for your help val >> >> tsh .oo5 o.45-4.5 >> ft4 .07 .82-1.77 >> ft3 6.1 2-4.4 >> >> tibc 288 250-450 >> uibc 186 150-375 >> iron,s 102 35-155 >> iron sat 35 15-55 >> >> potass RBC will follow >> >> sodium, serum 139 135-145 >> potass, serum 4.7 3.5-5.2 >> >> aldost will follow >> >> i was on 112mcg t3 at the time, >> felt slight slight hypo symptoms, like i could stand for a tad more, so i bumped it to 125mcg just yesterday, not sure if it will stick or not. >> >> what do you think? >> > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Yes estrogen and progesterine are readily available, Progesterone can be had in any pharmacy or health store. Estrogne from many of the same sites we order other meds from. If going wiht biolidenticla I used ot liekoestrogel as it si a gel form easily absorbed and seeems ot work well for women that Estradiol works well for. I take Premarin which I order over seas as it works better for me. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > ok, yeah, the sex hormones was the last thing i was going to work on, so it looks like it is way overdue... > i have some estrodiol patches and some progesterone pills, and some remaining testosterone cream from my former doctor... i will check on the doses of those and post on the adrenals page for guidance on what to take and when. > > i was curious, val... i have just kind of fell out of touch with my doctor and gone on my own for a while, his ego takes quite a bit of energy to handle. are there sources for estrogen and progesterone without a prescription? i seem to remember reading that testosterone is the only one you HAVE to have a script for. is this true? > > per the thyroid labs, yes i feel great in general on this dose. i never thought i'd make it to 112mcg, and tolerate it, but here i am. feels nice:) > i will follow up with aldosterone/rbc potass results when they come. > i just cant get enough salt it feels like, lol. > I'm so grateful to know which adaptogens to use now and when. > thank you from the bottom of my heart. your help has been truly amazing. > > >>>> hi val, >>>> i posted my brand new cortisol results on the adrenals page, heres a link so you can reference those for a big picture >>>> >>> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/message/1806\ 57 >>> they are basically slightly over range in the am, normal at noon, high in range in evening, and below range at midnight. i moved my bedtime dose of t3 to the next morning, i start getting sleepy around 9-10 and i fall asleep so quickly, if i am out driving it is even hard to keep my eyes open, like my body is just shutting down whether i like it or not, lol. >>> took my blood pressure last night and it was low...98/68, hr 81, then rose to 113/70 upon standing. >>> just now (at 3pm... )i took it and it was 118/78, then i stood up and it was 113/54. right now my heartrate is over 100 and i have not taken any salt yet. i know when i do it will help my heartrate. >>> >>>> but as far as everything else, i just got my new labs back >>>> the rbc potass, and aldo are not finished yet, so i will post those when i get them. >>>> >>>> here they are, could you help me interpret please? i'd be so grateful for your help val >>>> >>>> tsh .oo5 o.45-4.5 >>>> ft4 .07 .82-1.77 >>>> ft3 6.1 2-4.4 >>>> >>>> tibc 288 250-450 >>>> uibc 186 150-375 >>>> iron,s 102 35-155 >>>> iron sat 35 15-55 >>>> >>>> potass RBC will follow >>>> >>>> sodium, serum 139 135-145 >>>> potass, serum 4.7 3.5-5.2 >>>> >>>> aldost will follow >>>> >>>> i was on 112mcg t3 at the time, >>>> felt slight slight hypo symptoms, like i could stand for a tad more, so i bumped it to 125mcg just yesterday, not sure if it will stick or not. >>>> >>>> what do you think? >>>> >>> >>> >>> ------------------------------------ >>> >>> We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
Having had an early hyst at 27 years old I have TONS of experince wiht estrogen replacement. I also did tons of research over the years ont this and found MOSt women thta had hysts ONLY get releif odf symtoims with Premarin rather than bioidentical estadiol. I am no exceotion. I had tons oif bleed through symptoms on bioidentical estrogens even the combo ones and that tells me ther eis somethign in Premarin I need thta is missing in the bio's. Having learned that the danger in Premarin was hugely overblown as it was the synthetic Progestins that caused thei issues in the test that was stopped I feel very comfortable taking it. I do recommend ONLY bioidentical progesterone but ther eare many fine brands of this and I look for cheap. Expensive does nto make a better product. but I have not taken alot of progesterone products as I could not for years though recently I am tolerating it well and am on Healthy Choice Nutritionals cream. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > THANK YOU VAL, > great to know about the SHBG... as i'm sure i wouldve wondered what the heck was going on!lol > 1)i think i am going to order estrogel, but is there a reason you switched that for premarin? > 2)is there a form of progesterone you most recommend?... i checked out my main source for supps and there are so many to choose from > 3)i have been having wide variations in my BG val, and it worries me a bit.... for instance two nights ago it was 85, great. but then my fasting bg the other morning was 110 (not quite immediately after i got up, but close). and my bg just an hour ago was 136! this was taken about an hour and a half after eating anything ...a tiny snack of cheese and pb, and i think i might have had some crystal lite/sea salt water before. i didnt get enough sleep last night, due to a death in my bf's family, so i wonder if stress is raising my cortisol, raising my bg. should i be concerned? i eat very very low glycemic index already, cant go lower . would you recommend metformin for someone like me? > > >>>>>>>>>> hi val, >>>>>>>>>> i posted my brand new cortisol results on the adrenals page, heres a link so you can reference those for a big picture >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>> http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/message/1806\ 57 >>>>>>>>> they are basically slightly over range in the am, normal at noon, high in range in evening, and below range at midnight. i moved my bedtime dose of t3 to the next morning, i start getting sleepy around 9-10 and i fall asleep so quickly, if i am out driving it is even hard to keep my eyes open, like my body is just shutting down whether i like it or not, lol. >>>>>>>>> took my blood pressure last night and it was low...98/68, hr 81, then rose to 113/70 upon standing. >>>>>>>>> just now (at 3pm... )i took it and it was 118/78, then i stood up and it was 113/54. right now my heartrate is over 100 and i have not taken any salt yet. i know when i do it will help my heartrate. >>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> but as far as everything else, i just got my new labs back >>>>>>>>>> the rbc potass, and aldo are not finished yet, so i will post those when i get them. >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> here they are, could you help me interpret please? i'd be so grateful for your help val >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> tsh .oo5 o.45-4.5 >>>>>>>>>> ft4 .07 .82-1.77 >>>>>>>>>> ft3 6.1 2-4.4 >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> tibc 288 250-450 >>>>>>>>>> uibc 186 150-375 >>>>>>>>>> iron,s 102 35-155 >>>>>>>>>> iron sat 35 15-55 >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> potass RBC will follow >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> sodium, serum 139 135-145 >>>>>>>>>> potass, serum 4.7 3.5-5.2 >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> aldost will follow >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> i was on 112mcg t3 at the time, >>>>>>>>>> felt slight slight hypo symptoms, like i could stand for a tad more, so i bumped it to 125mcg just yesterday, not sure if it will stick or not. >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>> what do you think? >>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>> ------------------------------------ >>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>> We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
is, I was worried about my BG, too, and like you, I can't possibly eat any lower carb. Even protein raises my BG too much, so I started Metformin. Apparently, it's extremely safe, been used in Europe for 30 years, even pregnant woman can take it. Many even take it for anti-aging as most people become insulin resistant to some extent as they age. The stuff is AMAZING! It lowered my BG by 20 points within a couple of days and I'm taking a very low dose, just 1000 mg a day, divided up. I actually take 1/2 with breakfast, 1 afternoon (my BG is highest then) and 1/2 dinner. The only issue is that you can feel " false hypoG " for up to 2 weeks (from what I've read on the blood sugar 101 site recmmended by mod Jacki on the adrenal board) while your body adjusts to the lower BG levels, so maybe it's best to start with an even lower dose, although 1000 mg is the recommended starting dose. I have seen Val recommend this to people, so maybe she can chime in.
