Guest guest
When having problems oyu need ot stop supplements first and then retest adrneals and IRON panel. Find out what the issue is as this si not normal. I could wager a guess, btu that is not the way I like to do things. But unstable temps is pointing to cortils problems, http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ I'm in 5th week, at 62.5mcg T3 but I am feeling bad, I am groggy in the mornings, my hair is very dry now, I have slight headaches which I never had before, I am wondering if I should add a tiny bit of T4? My ratio was 11 before I started this regimen, the doctor had suggested I only take 12.5 T3 and 1 grain armour........I am wondering if I should have cut down more graduallythe armour than just go on my own and cut out totally armour, maybe this is my problem? I don't know how much I can last feeling like this. My iron was 104 before I started and I take now 4 bluebonnets/day, and I take isocort 4-4-1 although on isocort my saliva test were normal more or less before i started this. My temps are nothing stable.......please if you can guide me I would be most grateful........

Guest guest
The other option is to tyr ot increase the Isocort. And yes to get off Isocort when having these asymptpoms would be rough and you would probabyl need to wean the T3 ot a minute dose. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ my temps today:                                  my temps yesterday: 10AM:  36.3                                         8AM:  36.2                                                           11:15AM: 36.7 Noon:  36.5                                          12:30:   36.6 12:30:   35,5                                            2:15:    36.5  I am afraid to stop isocort (this would be for 2 weeks?), and if I do, what happens with the T3, do I stop this also? I'm in 5th week, at 62.5mcg T3 but I am feeling bad, I am groggy in the mornings, my hair is very dry now, I have slight headaches which I never had before, I am wondering if I should add a tiny bit of T4? My ratio was 11 before I started this regimen, the doctor had suggested I only take 12.5 T3 and 1 grain armour...... ..I am wondering if I should have cut down more graduallythe armour  than just go on my own and cut out totally armour, maybe this is my problem? I don't know how much I can last feeling like this. My iron was 104 before I started and I take now 4 bluebonnets/ day, and I take isocort 4-4-1 although on isocort my saliva test were normal more or less before i started this. My temps are nothing stable...... .please if you can guide me I would be most grateful.... .....
Guest guest
I went through this, especially the groggy mornings. They really scared me. But, the answer is that you are clearly not taking enough T3. This resolved itself for me when I started adding more medication. I am now at 8 weeks and I take 100 mcg. per day, split into 2 - 37.5 mcg. doses and 1 - 25 mcg. dose at 10:00 PM, with no problem sleeping. I am thinking of adding a little more at this point. I read a post about taking the meds in 3 doses, approximately 8 hours apart, instead of taking it in smaller doses over the course of the day. I felt better and less stressed about remembering to take that many doses. Don't be afraid. Up your dose. It's clear you need to. You should feel better. Guest guest
Thanks Kathleen, it's really scary to feel like that, with all the problems I had and feeling miserable I never felt like this.....but i'm still confused because i understood only to up the meds every 3-5 days and I just upped in 3 days ago with no results at all, so i just hope i'm not taking too much................also i thought and maybe misunderstood that only to up it when temps start to stabilize and obviously mine have not............... Guest guest
sandra, i'm sorry you are going through a rough time. i think what val means is that if you decided to go off the isocort for two weeks in order to be able to get an accurate saliva test, then you might want to lower your t3 dose. i think she mentioned that ONLY because if you are having t3 tolerance issues with SOME adrenal support, then you might have worse intolerance issues if you go off ALL of your adrenal support. your body may not be able to support the t3 dose you are currently taking. your other option was to raise your isocort and see if it helps you. BUT, you never really have had solid accurate saliva tests telling you what you should do for your adrenals, so raising your isocort and seeing what the symptoms tell you may be way too confusing. just from experience, telling the difference btwn needing more hc and less has been really really confusing for me... almost impossible. i recently weaned off hc, way too quickly, because for whatever reason i thought symptoms were high cortisol. but now i think that was wrong, and i think i might have actually needed MORE hc. but i was off the hc, so i decided to stay off all adrenal support long enough to retest saliva so that i dont have to go just by symptoms. way too hard. and now i am impatiently awaiting the results, and struggling a bit, but i will have the peace of mind that i have accurate saliva labs guiding my decision to stay off hc, or go back on. so, if you think you are in a bind now, it might be worse if you guessed your way up to hc. and i really dont think that anyone should tell you to up your t3 that quickly, when your temps are not stable... upping the t3 dose with possible intolerance issues isnt going to solve the problem. My temps are nothing stable...... .please if you can guide me I would be most grateful.... .... >
