Guest guest
Not much is written about cortisol resistance but that it does exist. Maybe tomorrow when I am off work I will find time to do some research and see if I can find something to help btu in the meantiem I would suggest tring other steroids that have less or no mineralcorticoid activity. Have you tried Medrol? That woudlk be something worth tryign for now. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. Overall i felt really bad on 30mg and when i dropped the HC i felt better.. You saw my Urine result and said to try adaptogens but i just feel they probably won't be enough considering my reaction to only 6.25mcg of Cytomel... Do you think i should try a larger dose of HC? Would this overcome the likely problem of high CBG?? > > I would gratefuly if you could guide me on this one. > > Thankyou > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. Guest guest
OK did some searches adn found out ALBUMIN also is known to biind cortiosl and it si ALSO elevated in hypothyroidism. This might eb a greta find for many people thta have good or borderline cortils levels and stil lwo cortils sympotms. The trick is to get ENOIUGH cortils in you to tolerate T3 so you can undo the hypothyroidism thta MAY be causing at least part of the problem. > > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. Guest guest
It seems albumin is reduced by Vitamin A? Do you think a Vitamin A supplement would be the go? So just to clarify if you have high cbg or cortisol moderate cortisol resistance.. you just have to take enough HC or Medrol to get it through to the cells.. then if you can manage to rid RT3 hopefully things will normalize? I could have to be on 50mg HC.. > > > Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. I mis interpreted your capitals and was too quick to jump down your throat. Guest guest
I knwo a fella I have been chatting with for abotu 5 years, he never posts to the groups as he had too many mental issues and fear to do so, btu anyway he was on 80mg HC for over 2 years under Dr Peatfield's care, thne he was between 40-60mg a day for another 2 years and now he si OFF HC! He is not perfect btu he is doing good, no more issues wiht panick attacks and night terrors which were some of his worst sy,mptoms., so you would not be the first I have seen that needed VERY high HC dosing to get through this. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > It seems albumin is reduced by Vitamin A? > > Do you think a Vitamin A supplement would be the go? > > So just to clarify if you have high cbg or cortisol moderate cortisol resistance.. you just have to take enough HC or Medrol to get it through to the cells.. then if you can manage to rid RT3 hopefully things will normalize? > > I could have to be on 50mg HC.. > > >>> >>>> Val i apologise if i offended in my last post. Guest guest
I love hearing stories like that.. i have a constant feeling of impending doom.. which is an adrenal symptom funnily enough. So these stories give me hope. My chief complaint on 30mg HC was feeling very hot all the time.. i just read in Starr's book that this is a symptom of LOW cortisol... so the 80mg might not be far off lol If high dose HC fails can i get Medrol from a link you provide? > >>> > >>>> Val i apologise if i offended in my last post.
