well I am not one to kneel at the proverbial feet of Dr lee or his theories but estrogen dominance is a real issue for many people both men and women especially since there are psuedo estrogens more and more contaminating our environment and of couse when one carries extra weight their bodies produce extra estrogen. One can be estrogen dominant and not have enough of the right kind of estrogen. It is the balance that matters and the amounts that are right for each individual, and even that can change. Clearing out the harmful environmental estrogens and having enough of the right kind and balancing it with the other hormones is a constant challenge. The way that estrogen dominance used to affect me was that before I had the BHRT in the right proportions on week 2 every single month my wieght would jump up with the rise in

estrogen. then it would go back down my week 4 now I know to watch that on week 2 and if that occurs then i know I am out of balance and either have to add more progesterone starting week 3 or less estrogen week 2.

It sure does, my husband was just tested for hormones, his testosterone was in the tank and estrogen was really high, his doc said he had estrogen dominance. Poor guy had no interest in anything, seemed like he'd lost his will to live almost. His doc specializes in bio identicals and started him on testosterone shots...difference is now night and day. He also gave him some pill that clears out the estrogen, the dude was getting boobs and his prostate was huge. His thyroid showed he was slighly hypo but doc wants him to stay on testosterone with this pill to clear out the estrogen, says he won't have to take flomax anymore and it's a falicy that testosterone makes men have large prostates... young men are full of testosterone but don't have enlarged prostates. Hubby's doc has worked with Suzanne Sommers while writing one of her books on bio identicals. All I know is his prostate is getting smaller, he has more zest

for life and though he's 53, he's acting like he's 25....come on rt3 clearance... now I've got to be able to keep up with this guy LOL.
