Guest guest
I'm not in your area, but will share my experience... I found a Family Nurse Practitioner who worked in a practice with a DO. Often DO's tend to be more aware of the concerns those of us with thyroid and adrenal issues have, and also more open to alternative treatments. I went to various GPs, OBs, endos and even a fertility specialist.. and no one connected the dots. The last endo I saw said that none of my symptoms made sense or fit any pattern that he was familiar with. Two months later when I found my FNP, she diagnosed me in 10 minutes, then did a physical and ordered saliva tests and labs to fine-tune treatment. When I found Val on the NaturalThyroidAdrenal group, the doc listened to me, read the materials, and let me try the HC and sea salt. My point is that I had to look beyond the traditional medical profession. My person actually went to school with the endo who tried to kill me...and she doesn't have that specialty degree, but knows much, much more than he does. She has to be supervised by an MD, and she can do everything a doc does, prescribe, order tests, etc.. Maybe you can find someone in a smaller, less traditional practice... When I have time I'll do some research and see what I can find. I really lucked out, and I'd known about this FNP for over a year, and was just reluctant to make a change.. as well as severely incapacitated due to not being treated properly. good luck! > > Can anyone recommend a good doctor in Eastern MA that truely understands how to diagnose and treat RT3 and gets the adrenal connection. > > Thanks >
