Guest guest
I've been Hypo and on Levothroid for 6 years. According to my labs my T3/RT3 ratio is 3.47. I've had the following labs done and have started supplements to get my iron, B12, vitamin D, and potassium up. Should I be taking any other supplements according to my labs? How long should I be taking these supplements before being tested again? I want to get started on Cynomel ASAP so I can start feeling better. RT3 34 T3 118 (Range 54-163 ng/dl) FT4 1.1 (Range 0.9-1.8 ng/dl) TSH 0.09 (Range 0.35-5.50 uIU/ml) Ferritin 25.7 (Range 10-291 ng/ml) B12 435 (Range 180-914 pg/ml) Folate 12.2 (Range: >3.0 mg/m) Potassium 3.7 (Range: 3.5-5.3 mmol/L) Magnesium 2.1 (Range: 1.6-2.4 mg/dl) VIT D, 25-HYDROXY 34 VIT D, 25-OH, D3 34 VIT D, 25-OH, D2 <
Guest guest
Hi, Yes, your B12 is low, should be at least 550, best above 1,000. I don't know how much B12 you are taking, but on your next blood test you may find that your B12 will be considered "high" by your lab's standards. Don't worry about that, and just keep supp'ing. Vitamin D can take a while to get up. Pam
Guest guest
This question was already answered, here's the link: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/49058 > > Well, I got on here, I wanted to see if you thought I had this problem > reverse t3 358 range 90-350 > free t3 6.4 3-6 pg I know these ranges vary > > I still have low temp, I have no idea how to calculate the ratio. 8 grains thyroid canada. yes--8 grains. I was taking 7 grains but very depressed. > > I should also point out, I have hemochromatosis, and get regular phlebotomies. My ferritin has gotten very low, around 25, and then I get a phlebotomy, so its not zero but very low. My saturation hovers around 17. This is probably why I have this problem. > > My question is, will this correct itself, since I am now finally going every 3 months for a phlebotomy, or do I have to go on t3 until then? >
