Guest guest
> If I start to feel good should I just not increase? I was starting to get some racing heart symptoms at night even on only the 12.5mcg/day and I'm just afraid of taking too much. Questions to ask when considering an increase are here http://thyroid-rt3.com/doineed.htm don't increase if you don't need to, not may people need to go over 125 unless they have very bad resistance. Guest guest
When I started I started very slowly on the T3 because I have atrial fibrillation. When I would increase my dose because of feeling hypo, I would get racing heart for a bit. I would stick with my current dose for at least two weeks or even more if I didn't feel hypo. I let my body tell me what to do. I'm currently up to 75 mcg and feeling pretty good. The optimal dose is different for different people. I would just suggest that you not be impatient with yourself and go at your body's own pace, because the T3 hits all at once. I would take 1/2 of each dose and spread out your doses four times a day so as to even out highs and lows. So something like 8am, 1pm, 6pm and11pm would keep you pretty even all day. It will also help to keep the heart from racing this way too. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Just because something isn't seen doesn't mean it's not there<> Subject: V/N--help on dosing? To: RT3_T3 Date: Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 8:48 AM I want to say how much I appreciate the time you take to respond to these questions that must be so frustrating for you to repeat these so many times. I'm just so discouraged by doctors. I was on 2 grain armour, with a RT3 ratio of 11, (4.5FT3/405RT3), and lowered 1 grain armour last week taking 12.5mcg cytomel. Today in the morning I took away final grain armour and took 12.5mcg cytomel, and will take another 12.5mcg cytomel around 1PM for a total now of 25mcg/day. My question is how many do I finally need before stabilizing, do I need approx 7 tabs of 25mcg/day? Is it pretty much standardized for everyone? If I start to feel good should I just not increase? I was starting to get some racing heart symptoms at night even on only the 12.5mcg/day and I'm just afraid of taking too much. Thank you again! Guest guest
Roni I stopped armour today and am taking 12.5mcg at 7 and 12.5mcg at around 1PM. Do you mean to take 1/2 of 12.5 at 4 different intervals? That sounds good....I will start tomorrow and see how I am after 1 week........I was afraid that after 1PM it would keep me from sleeping, I thought I read that somewhere here........
