There are several different forms of iron; ferrous sulfate often causes stomach

pain. Ferrous bisglycinate is the form of iron that seems to be easiest on the

stomach.

Here are links to two bisglycinates that have gotten good reports from people on

this group:

Other forms of iron are ferrous fumarate and carbonyl iron, I know the carbonyl

can cause constipation.

the last couple of days. Taking 65mg iron 1 in morning with food and then

afternoon and hoping to up it to a 3rd dose soon, but stomach cramps/pains

started since taking iron.

I find that I don't want to take the 3rd dose as sleep is hard for me as it is

and this keeps me up more. But do feel constipated since starting the iron.

Ferrain level last taken in March was at 7. Any thoughts?
