Guest guest
Carol it can't hurt to drop back a little bit on your dose and see it that works. I am posting since I am sure Val will answer you better and more knowledgably when she comes on line but if you are in crisis it can't hurt you to lower you dose a little and see how you feel. I am taking it at 25mcg 4x a day. I have been taking 100mcg since last Monday per my doctor. Before this, I was taking 92 1/2 mcg up until last monday. The last few days I have been having a heavy feeling in my chest and a tight feeling that sometimes hurts. It does not last all day. It comes and goes. When this happens, my pulse is beating heavy and sometimes, fast but not always. When not beating fast it is in the low to mid 80's. The chest issue was really bad when I woke up Sunday morning and it is 9:30 Sunday night and I am having the same feeling which started around 7:30 - 8 pm. I took 25mcg Sat. night at bedtime but at 4pm Sunday, I only took 17.5mcg thinking that maybe I was taking too much. However, I am still having the issue. I am not sure if I am taking too much or too little. Do not know which way to go here. My temps are very stable and are averaging close to 98.6. This is pretty scary because when this happens I feel like I should maybe go to the emergency room but even as I write this the heaviness seems to be subsiding. Can you tell me what might be going on here? This is such a rollercoaster! I was doing so well and now this. I am assuming because my temps are SO stable and averages are good that this is not adrenal.Venizia
Guest guest
Venezia, try not to be scared, as this is extra stress and makes things worse. First of all chew 4 baby aspirins in you have them, if not chew a regular aspirin even though they taste terrible. This was told to me by one of the EMTs, and it's a very good idea. Try cutting down your dose by 25 mcg. The third one is a good one to do that with. See how you feel for a few day or so. If it's the T3 you'll know. I have atrial fibrillation, so I know how frightening it can be to feel your heart heavy. Also, try eating lightly and more but smaller meals. Eliminate some fat too if possible. It's 11:30pm here, but I popped on to the computer and saw your message and thought I'd write because I know what it's like to be afraid. Write whenever you like. Hope you get some sleep, that should help too. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Guest guest
Thanks Roni,I did cut back on my third dose yesterday. I went from 25mcg to 17 1/2 which is what I was taking before. I will see how it goes today. It is scary and it is difficult to know if it is indigestion. I never understood people saying that until it happened to me. Right now it is 7am here and I took my regular dose of 25 mcg at 6am. I am ok so far. If this continues today, I will be calling my cardiologist. I have never had heart issues but my regular doctor had me start seeing a cardio when I was on synthroid and we know the rest of that story, don't we. So I haven't seen him in at least 3 or 4 yrs since I went on Armour back then. Thanks for caring Roni!Venizia Subject: chest discomfort/Val PLEASE!!!To: rt3_t3 Date: Sunday, August 22, 2010, 7:34 PM Hi Val,I am taking 100mcg of cytomel. Guest guest
I found this a while back and I started taking it. I don't take coumadin and don't want to. I'm taking this. It's simple enough and I figure it has so many benefits. It's not the same as vitamin K from green leafy veggies like spinach, etc. I take one tiny capsule a day. http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/vitamin-k2-bones-cardiovascular-health-blood-sugar-control-cancer-prevention There are many sites on google for this vitamin. Guest guest
Very interesting Roni. I looked at this site and I am going to talk to my doctor who is a naturopath about this. Hmmm, someone else who things the doctors of today have their heads in the sand....we all can't be wrong. So far today I have had no chest tightness, heaviness etc. Keeping my fingers crossed until I can talk to my doctor. Guest guest
I have allergies too. You might want to keep a diary of everything you eat and everything you do. I did this when we were trying to figure out what the atrial fibrillation was coming from. It turns out that mine is vagus nerve induced, and there are many triggers. It was witrh this diary that I was able to discover all of my particular triggers. It was very helpful. Two of the distressing ones are caffeine in any amount from any source and emotional stress (I call it getting aggravated). <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Guest guest
I do know I have a sulfite sensitivity which is a huge problem. Then this time of year weather wise is also difficult. I have been through the diary of what triggers things. That's how I figured it was sulfites. Sure enough anything with sulfites will show up. Did you know corn is sulfited. Now imagine how many things have corn in them. This is a very difficult allergy.Venizia Subject: chest discomfort/Val PLEASE!!!To: rt3_t3 Date: Sunday, August 22, 2010, 7:34 PM Hi Val,I am taking 100mcg of cytomel. Guest guest
I am thoroughly disgusted with the way our government allows the food and water supply to be polluted with chemicals, to say nothing of the the air pollution from manufacturing plants, chemical plants and other high air polluting entities. Instead of protecting us they are complicit. P.S. I'm not talking about any political party, but rather the lack of protection across the board so please anyone, don't try to debate me on this. I'm not looking to discuss the government and I said this in the interests of the health of all of us. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Guest guest
Couldn't agree more on ALL counts. :)Venizia Subject: chest discomfort/Val PLEASE!!!To: rt3_t3 Date: Sunday, August 22, 2010, 7:34 PM Hi Val,I am taking 100mcg of cytomel.
