Guest guest
Hi there, I'm new here and am trying to figure some things out. I've been taking nature-throid for a few months now and definitely feel a lot better, but still have RT3 issues and my dr. wants to put me on time-released T3 only. Since my pharmacy all of a sudden says my nature-throid is " unavailable " ... I thought maybe it would be a good time to try the T3 thing. The time-release part makes me nervous, as does the synthetic part (having been on all the synthetic T4s for years, steadily getting worse and worse). But, I'm willing to try it, if it's going to help, especially as I'm all out of other options if the nature-thoid is unavailable. I just want to know what my options are and what I can say to my dr. to convince her that time-release isn't necessarily all she says it is. Unless it really is? It just makes me nervous - if we have to be so careful about avoiding calcium and iron when we take our meds, how can time-release work without that control? What kinds of T3 are the best? Do they have corn as fillers? (allergic to corn and peanuts). Should I be worried about time-release or not? Perhaps I should insist on compounded t3 so as not to have to deal with the fillers at all... Confused and not sure where to find all this info - thanks for any pointers!
