Guest guest
>Since I still hadn't received my Cynomel from Mexico after 3 weeks, I had a phone consult with my Dr and he prescribed 25 MG of Cytomel At the last lab I had a ferritin of 12 and a T3/Rt3 ratio of 9%. I'll be coming off 130 mg of Naturthroid daily. So I presume you are supplementing iron heavily? If you havn't got that ferritin up you may get some nastey anxiety effects > >How should I dose? I took 50 mg of T3 in the morning, (one sublingualy), was planning on taking 100 Mg iron in 4 hours, followed by 50 MG of T3 in 4 hours, followed by another dose of 100 mg of iron in 4 hours. Far too much T3!!! You will crash your adrenals!!! if I remember right Naturethyrois is 65mg per grain. That means you had 18mcg of T3 a day from that. You should start the T3 on that dose and then increase as the T4 in your system decays, 1/4 of a tablet 3 times a day for the first 2 or 3 days and then 1/4 4 times a day and build from there http://thyroid-rt3.com/dosing.htm gives some suggestions >I didn't get the generic Cytomel but is it okay to do so in future? The generic is a little weaker/less well absorbed from many reports. Guest guest
I'm taking 200 mg of iron twice a day, how do I supplement with the iron if I'm dosing 3 or 4 times a day? I had one IRON IV but had side effects so can't repeat it. Doesnt the iron interfere with the absorption of the T3? Sorry but i'm really confused. Thanks so much for your input, Beth > > >Since I still hadn't received my Cynomel from Mexico after 3 weeks, I had a phone consult with my Dr and he prescribed 25 MG of Cytomel At the last lab I had a ferritin of 12 and a T3/Rt3 ratio of 9%. Taking the T3 sublingually stops the iron interfering with absorption Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com For lots of good information of adrenal issues http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com/ and the adrenal group on http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/
Guest guest
Nick I can't thank you enough for taking the time to respond. I have no idea how I missed that piece of advice on your site, adrenals site and STTM! I must say I feel very buzzed after taking that dose this morning and am glad that I don't have to repeat it. Tomorrow I'll start with the new protocol. with gratitude, Beth > > > > >I'm taking 200 mg of iron twice a day, how do I supplement with the iron if I'm dosing 3 or 4 times a day? I have no idea how I missed that piece of advice on your site, adrenals site and STTM! It's on STTM for natural but I havn't put it on the RT3 site, I am planning some updates to it and it will be one of them The Cynomel from Grossman tastes good and dissolves well but I don't know about the Cytomel.
