Guest guest
Thanks Kellian (and sorry to the rest of you for the duplicate - this is the original post I thought had not gone through). What exactly causes a placental abruption? Just wondering...I've heard that it can happen at anytime during the pregnancy. Does it depend on where the placenta is located? My doctor was so ignorant that they told me the placental abruption was not related to the BU....so stupid. Anyhow, my first pregnancy went full term and I had a placental abruption when I was about 2cm dialated. I went into pre-term labor at 27 weeks with my second. She was born weighing 1pd 15 oz. I also had a placental abruption with her. My advice to you is don't ignore warning signs. I had so many with my second pregnancy but never thought it could be anything. My doctor was so laid back about my condition that I figured nothing could possibly go wrong. > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: BIcornate Uterus and Pregnant >Date: Thu, 29 Sep 2005 16:48:01 -0000 > >Hello everyone, > >I am new to this board - glad to know it is here. > >I was recently diagnosed with a bicornate uterus during my 8 week >sonogram.
