Guest guest
RT3 can't HELP but go down when ther eis no T4 in your body to make ti from. If oyu went back to a med containing T4 then I would strongly urge you to test selenium as HIGH selenium is not good and woudl probabyl cause a return of RT3. If staying on T3 onyl fo rlife I doubt it would hurt thyroud status BUT too much of anythign is never a good thing. Sorry but I do nto believe in blindly takign ANY supplement unless oyu knwo oyu need it. And yes I practice what I preach.. learned this the hard way MANY time over. Symptoms would ocur that semed out of the blue. Several times I had to STOP every supplemnt. then add them back in one byoine and ALWAYS it was some stoopid supplement that someone had suggested ALL hypothyrid people needed. Selenium was one of these for me. So was Iodine , and magnesium. Apparently I am not low in these things as I reacted badly to all of them. http://www.nthadrenalsweb.com http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://faqhelp.webs.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://www.thyroid-rt3.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ http://artisticgrooming.net/ > Quik follow to the question of stopping selenium if you have rt3 issues -- if there's say 120 mcg of selenium in your multiV would you have to stop taking it? My rt3 has gone from 509 down to 17 on T3 only since May and I would like to continue my multiV but don't want to undo my progress or cause problem further down the line. > > Judy > > > > > ------------------------------------ > > We are not medical professionals here, just patients sharing our experiences. I didn't know selenium was a problem for rt3 until now, and my rt3 di dropped from 509 to 17? > > Quik follow to the question of stopping selenium if you have rt3 issues -- if there's say 120 mcg of selenium in your multiV would you have to stop taking it?
