This one is for the forum members especially.

Val an diane wrote in a thread before that you should stop anti-depressant pills

before starting HC and t3 treatment. This one is new to me. I wanted to ask you

about your experience on the subject.

When I was first diagnosed with CFS they offcourse told me that taking AD would

help to cure the exhastion. Obviously it didn't help. But because the situation

of being bedridden for months without forseeable cure was SO terrible for a

person like me who used to be completly healthy until then, I took the AD. They

never actually helped with the depression but getting off them in my emotionaly

unstable situation seemed too risky. So, I am still taking them. But now I

learned they can damage the hormonal healing process. So, my questions to you

guys are:

a) Did you stop taking AD before starting treatment?

B) Do you have any clue from your experience how stopping taking them actually

helped your healing?

c) Don't you think it is too risky and even maybe a little bit irresponsible to

tell a person suffering fron depression, even if the reason is hormonal and not

psychiatric, to stop taking AD?

And for the mods: can you please explain to me specifically as possible how can

taking AD damage the protocol recommanded here?

This is the first time since joining this forum that I actually question a

medical advice giving here by the mods. I know that the hormonal system and the

serotonin system are related, but not that they can't be handeled

simultaniously! How much courage you need to tell a person to get off AD while

he clearly suffers from depression, I just don't get it.

Please your opinions on the subject!
