Hi,

Now on 50 mcgs of Levothyroxine T4 - my last bloods showed after being on 25

mcgs that my TSH had gone down from 1.8 to 1.68 (0.5-4.5) and my T4 had gone up

from 11.1 to 12 (11 to 19) and that my T3 was 5.2 (unsure of range.

So it would look like my T3 is 'normal' and the T4 is lowering my TSH and

raising, albeit slightly, my T4.

Still feel poo and know early days yet. Off to see Endo in Sept and because my

treatment was started off by my now ex GP and my new GP is concerned as they

don't have a diagnosis for me - also that my TSH was 'within range' at 2.7

despite all the symptoms! My conern is that the Endo will try and take me off

the T4 and I will end up feeling as bad as I did before. I have only been on

the T4 since beg June and in the last 2 wks since the increase I have felt a

little better in myself and my partner and work colleagues have commented on how

I seem a little brighter. I am also pacing myself more now which helps reserve

energy.

Any ideas/tips? I think I need to be asking for all the anti body tests - I

have only had the ANTI TPO one done. I had an ultra sound scan but this showed

that my thyroid looked 'normal'.

Thanks

S

Did you have your RT3 tested and was the T3 you had tested total T3 or free T3?

curious,

Sharon
