Guest guest
Hi there, I have been on T3 for exactly 12 weeks yesterday (I am also on 5-3-2-1 isocort - temps were stable for 2 to 3 weeks or so before starting T3 and ferritin was 97 - had been supplementing 200mg iron for 3 months). I gradually worked my way up to 68.75mcg around 10 days ago. When I first started T3, I tried to increase by 6.25mcg every 3 or 4 days or so, but had some setbacks (i.e.heart racing). My average daily temps were around 36.8 and 36.9 (preovulation) before starting T3. Everytime I increased my T3 dose, my temp would go up to an average of around 37 for the day and then decrease back to between 36.8 and 36.9 until my next raise. However, when I raised to 68.75mcg..my average daily temp stuck at around 37 (preovulation). This was 10 days ago. Now I have had 10 days of stable temps at a daily average of between 36.96 and 37.06 degrees. So I didn't continue to increase. Did I do the right thing? Or should I still keep increasing? Now, yesterday, I woke up with a pounding, racing heart (around 85 to 90 beats a minute)(haven't experienced it for a while!) and was very irritable all day. I was over the moon because I thought I had cleared my RT3! Because yesterday was exactly 12 weeks of me being on T3. BUT my av temp for yesterday was 37 on the dot and I did not feel any increase in energy..I actually felt more tired than usual! Should my temp have increased if I cleared? Should I have had more energy? Another spanner in the works is that yesterday I ovulated (I have been tracking my ovulation for around 7 months now and I usually ovulate on day 14 or 15.) i.e. my basal temp increased from 36.5 to 36.8 yesterday morning. But was this increase actually ovulation or could it have been my RT3 clearing? So my question really is...Could I have cleared my RT3? How will I know? Today my heart is still racing and I feel exceptionally tired (more than usual). And also, should I increase my T3 dose if my temps are at 37? (I continued to take 100mg of iron a day for my first 6 weeks on t3 and then decreased to 25mg a day since then, as I was worried about overdosing and I couldn't afford testing. I also eat a small piece of red meat every night). I also take 1000mg a day of Magnesium glycinate. (Have been taking it for the last 2 months) and tons of other stuff like fish oil, B vitamins, vit C etc Thanks so much!!
