I would certainly say he needs meds. Is this a Kaiser lab? I

believe it si Kaiser that has reduced their FT3 ranges AGAIN, as if

the old ones were nto low enough already...

valerie...these labs of my brother in law...do you

think he needs meds even though he says he feels

fine...he underwent radiation to the neck some years ago

and so i believe his thyroid is feeling the

pressure...he is on no meds at this time...

tsh 4.23 (.5-5.5)

Ft3 3.4 (2-3.5)

Ft4 1.0 (0.9 - 1.8)

i dont know what lab he was at md anderson for follow up testing....so you think the FT3 range is too low and that is why it is looking good...hmmm..will pass that along

valerie...these labs of my brother in law...do you think he needs meds even though he says he feels fine...he underwent radiation to the neck some years ago and so i believe his thyroid is feeling the pressure...he is on no meds at this time...

Absolutely! I have seen this a few times and I htin  it is mainly

Kaiser labs that have redced their ranges. Proabbyl because then

NEVER treat hypo properly so thingk this is normal,, DUH.
